  Alternatively you could cast the body in stone-cast or resin (cheap), or metal (not cheap).
  For stone cast (its a type of very hard plaster), or resin (which can be coloured with metal powders to look like bronze, you will need to make a positive model, clay is good, then produce a mould of it in several parts (depending on the complexity of the shape), then fill the mould with your casting material.

  I may be wrong but from my understanding, there were no specific reason for this.
  
  The Pharaoh is usually illustrated as the biggest body (literally) in the sculpture. This might be a reason. Also, a lot of times, the Pharaoh may be sculpted with a head of a God to represent that they are blessed, etc.
  In both of these cases, they couldn't have possibly just sculpted his head could they?

My sculpture has to either be put inside the carry on of a bag as we board the plane, or we can ship it. The problem is, it is unhardened Super Sculpey. It will ruin if squashed in any way.

Thankfully I haven't added detail, but the body form is still vulnerable, so what is best to keep it from being destroyed? Shipping popcorn in a box? Bubble Wrap? Air-filled shipping pouches? (Essentially bubble wrap, but small bags filled with air to cause cushioning)

  It really depends on it's size...
  However, I have seen sculptures professionally packed and they put the sculpture in a box...Put plastic bags in the box around the sculpture and filled the bags with spray foam.
  You can buy the foam at hardware stores. (Big Stuff)
  Remember when filling, that it will expand and that the gases need to escape in order to dry. See the directions on the can.
  Do not seal the bags until dry. You can trim off the excess later.
  It makes a really nice hard shell around your artwork.

QUESTION:
What is the most disgusting thing you could imagine being on your body?
I am a fine art student and I am making a sculpture that will attract and repell at the same time. The front of the figure might be pretty and sexy but I want to add something out of the ordinary to the back so that when people encounter it they will be pushed away and disgusted.
What would you find disgusting,,,
Im thinking things like:
ears
horns
fur
scars
etc?

  I would add some oozing pustules, or some sort of nasty looking growth.
  I doubt anyone would find that attractive.
  In my opinion, fur and horns are too unrealistic. If you really want to disgust people, you want to pick something that could actually be there.
QUESTION:
How can I sculpt scales (Small bumps basically) onto my sculpture?
Many reptile/Dinosaur figures have small positive protruding bumps/scales on their body. How can you make these positive bumps?

  If you don't want to bend a piece of tin can lid metal and use it bare or mount it, take the eraser out of a standard wood pencil and use pliers to bend the metal to the shape of the scales. Then hold the pencil at a slight angle and push into the clay working from the bottom to the top for overlapping. If you just want round or oval bumps, carve the eraser or a small piece of wood to side and drill a shallow hole in the middle so when you push down, the clay mounds into the hole when pushed down by the rim.

I am making a polymer clay sculpture of a full body, but I intend to make only the head, hands and feet out of clay. the rest will be duck tape, some twigs and tin foil. My question is will the twigs and tape burn in the oven if i cover them in tin foil?

There is always an arts section. Also, art instructors at colleges know a lot, so ask someone there. The college or university is the best place to start.
