     They're short, it draws more attention to your penis and your butt. I think there is a less chance of girls being attracted to you than being embarrassed of you. I think we all agree you should get a different pair of swim wear. Adults and especially parents will be surprised to see a 14 year old dressed like this to a public place.

      If you are referring to bloomers...No they normally do not come along with a uniform. You would need to purchase those separately. They are available at most sports stores.

I'm lying on my bed wearing my red one and a pair of suntan-colored pantyhose with it. Both the bodysuit and the pantyhose feel so comfy! I love the snap-crotch they have, too.

    My sister is a cheerleader, and she has some of these. I tried on one of hers one day and fell in love with how it felt on me, so I just HAD to buy a few of them for myself!

    Is it OK for me to wear this in my room at night when no one will walk in and see me in it? My parents don't know about this, and I surely don't want them to see me in this.

    First pointe shoe fitting!?
    I'm getting my very first pair of pointe shoes in a week or so, and I want to know what I should expect.
    I'm going to Prima bodywear in Fort Collins, and wanted to know if they have any dress codes. I heard just wearing a pair of tights and sweats was fine, but I wanted to be sure. Since I've never been on pointe before, I was also wondering what sort of barre work I will be doing and if it's very difficult. Finally, will I have a chance to also buy padding, or is that seperate? Will they help me find the best kind for my feet? Any help is appreciated

    • ANSWER:
      First off, congrats on getting your first pair of pointes! It's so exciting. I got my first pair 9 months ago, so I know how anticipating and nervous the first fitting can be.

      First off, although I don't know of the store you're talking about, there's always a few basic things you should wear for your fitting. First off are convertible tights. You'll want those so you can be able to roll up your tights to show the fitter your feet and try on different padding for your pointe shoes.

      A leotard or a t-shirt with shorts is best to wear so your legs can clearly be seen when you're asked to stand en pointe during the fitting. Sweats, jeans, and other types of pants can be rolled up yes, but they fall down A LOT. Trust me I know. I wore pants to the fitting and as I had to (it was snowing and around 20 degrees out!) and I stupidly didn't bring shorts, lol. It drove me nuts having to pull them up constantly above my knees.

      During the fitting, you'll be asked to try on many different styles and brand of shoes to see which one fits and works best for you. You'll be taken over to a barre in a small section of the store and asked to step straight up onto pointe. The fitter will make sure the shoes aren't too loose, tight, wide, or narrow and will make sure you can straighten your knees as much as you can wearing shoes that aren't broken in.

      It may take a few hours and many pairs of shoes or it may not. It all depends. I for one am more comfortable with taking a few hours and being thoroughly fitted as opposed to having the first pair of shoes found chucked in my face with a "SOLD" sticker on them.

      Padding is most often ALWAYS included with your pointe shoes. I haven't heard of a place yet that doesn't add padding to the purchase! There's many types of toe pads out there as there are many different kinds of feet. Your fitter will help you find the best kind for your feet. Some people like Ouch Pouches, for me it was Gellows, and for others it's sometimes just a bit of lambswool or toe tape!

      Don't be afraid to try many different kinds. You can always switch if you don't like the padding. The goal is always to use as little as possible, but sometimes you can't do that, so go with what YOU are comfortable with, not the most popular name brand.

      In class you'll work a lot on breaking your shoes in and rolling up onto pointe. You'll likely do a lot of slow roll ups and roll downs holding onto the barre in parallel and first position, some roll ups with plie, getting fully up onto your box, walking on demi-pointe to further break in your shoes and maybe some work in second position too.

      A little while later you'll start working on sou-sous up from fifth position, walking down the barre en pointe, echappes, bourees, and short balances en pointe. (no one leg however!) All of this will be done holding onto the barre with the exception of balancing.

    My sister is a cheerleader, and she has some of these. I tried on one of hers one day and fell in love with how it felt on me, so I just HAD to buy a few of them for myself!
