     Spanx. . .anything they make will work to take you down almost a full dress size if you so please. I think god invented them.

     Also, I know this sounds tacky, but get yourself a push up bra with some padding (aka chicken cutlets). You will have an hourglass figure, which is *the* best thing to have. I know it's kind of deception, but it balances out hips and makes you generally look gorgeous with that iddy biddy waist of yours.

     Try prom-style dresses, especially those with detail around the top, to balance out your top half and give you the illusion of an hourglass shape - very 50s glam! These dresses also give you a defined waistline, emphasising the effect. You could add a matching belt or wide ribbon if the dress doesn't come with one. Dresses with halter-necks elongate your upper half, making you look a little taller and again highlighting your top half. Many prom dresses come with netting underneath the skirt too, which highlight a slim waist - if not, you can buy petticoats to go underneath (sounds old-fashioned but it works!). General rule of thumb - lots of things going on on your top half! Finally, prom dresses all tend to be just above the knee in length, which is perfect if you don't have toothpick legs. Accessorize with darker and more modern accessories like chunky necklaces or a big black corsage for a contemporary and less cutesy look, a la Lily Allen.

   I am 22 yrs old, 172cm tall and I weigh 58kg. I am an Australian size 12 in bottoms and size 8-10 in the top, so im a bit of a spoon shape.     Im not looking for an easy way out, i workout often but im getting married soon. I recently switched from a job where i stood for 9 hours a day six days a week to desk job and its not helping me shape up any. I was wondering, shape wear squishes you in and holds things in place.       Skinnies! You are actually part of the few who can truly pull them off! For an alternative, a skinny-flare. American eagle has great skinnies, and the artist jean there is considered a skinny flare. If you're a tall ruler than cropped jeans are good too. Lucky brand has really good quality denim, they last forever, and if you find them at consignment shops they're reasonable. But at the store the prices are ridiculous.

    When wearing shape-wear camisoles, whether full slip-ons or scoop neck tops, should I wear them over or under the bra in order to aid bras in getting everything back up where it's supposed to be?

    I have tried both and it seemed like that wearing them under bras provides a better bust line and silhouette, except it looked funny when both my bust and scoop neck top were tucked into the bra cup. Does anyone know of the correct way of wearing them?

    is it safe to wear shape ups when your pregnant?
    I want to buy these but I want to know that if I get pregnant (ever) that its safe to use the shape ups for the pregnancy back pain thing?

      No, you don't want to constrict your body or the baby during this time of your life.

      There are specific pregnancy support undergarments but really, keep your core muscles in shape and you will be fine. Feet up, cup of tea, little massage from Mr. Man, regular pregnancy exercise and pregnancy massage are all good things.

    I have round-oval like eyes & they're blue, but I want to try and wear liquid eyeliner but I'm not sure if it would look good.

      As long as you apply it correctly, it'll be fine. If your eyes are very round, I suggest lining only the top lid and extending it slightly outward at the corner.

    Hi i am getting married on monday and i have recently found out i am pregnant anyway before i new i bought a all in one shape-wear to give me a smooth finish and to hold me all in.       As long as its not extremely tight (literally taking breath away tight) I don't think there will be any problem. The baby is extremely small right now, and is protected by amniotic fluid.

      i'm english so dont now hjow big size 7 pants are,but any black clothing is slimming, stripes will always make you look bigger unless your super super skinny, a good combo is a top with stripes on the bust and a darker colour on the bottom which will make you bust look bigger or more proportioned and you stomach look flatter and skinnier, if you legs are skinny skinny jeans are good if you legs are sligtley bigger darker jeans will make you look slimer hope this helps x by your description you sound quite lanky but you probably look better to other people than you look to yourself. x

      Lane Bryant....Cacique. PERIOD!!!! I buy nothing else because THERE IS NOTHING else anywhere in the world like it and trust me girl I have LOOKED from one end of the world to the next!!

      I have one that really hikes em up there when I'm going out and wearing my "boobie shirts".

      It is supportive AND LIFTS, they are PRETTY and have matching panties. I will never buy anything else EVER. My best friend and I are both extremely busty and usually we go in together and buy the buy two get two free (when they have the special) and split em.

      It is the only thing I can wear in the store so since I've found exactly the shape I love I order them online.

    I never thought of it. I always get what i like, lol. And they are bug eyed 8).

      if your face is round, you need more of a squarish design. if you have a hard jaw, soften it out with rounded sunglasses. if you have an oval face, congrats, you can wear any design.

      but yes, it does matter, cause it has to be flattering to your shape. and remember, if you have a small face, don't get oversized sunglasses.

    I'm a 21 year old guy, in shape. 5'10" 175 lbs. My legs are muscular and not too hairy. I find that the short running shorts that go to mid-thigh or shorter are more comfortable and make me run faster. I would not these shorts for any other activity in public.

      Your body is not a pear shape, wow. It's classified as an M shape or an inverted triangle depending on how broad your shoulders are and how far your rip cage sticks out.

      M shape is a good body shape because you will always have slender legs, stomach, and a toned butt. The only negative thing about an M shape is that the bust and stomach look wide from the front. But believe it or not, alot of celebrities are a classic M shape and they dress themselves to create an hour glass shape effect.

      Things to wear:
      Slimming V necks with quarter length sleeves
      Flared jeans and long tunic style shirts
      skinny jeans with flats and baby doll tees
      fitted blazers and jackets
      pencil skirts
      long camisoles with a dark colored cardigan over them
      skirts with ruffles or pleats
      dresses with baby doll strap sleeves and v necks
      solid print shirts

      Things to not wear:
      shirts that are too snug in the breast and shoulder area
      ill fitted bras
      empire waist shirts (they make you look wider on the top)
      Tube tops
      strapless dresses

      colors that will slender your top:

      Also, be sure to get yourself measured to determine your exact measurements and which body type classifies you.

      to the person who said pear shape:
      Pear is the opposite of the funnel, inverted triangle, and M shape.
      Pear is heavy on the bottom and lean on top.
      M shape is curvy yet slender with a wider top.
      Inverted triangle is very broad up top with a flat butt and thin legs.
      Funnel is broad shoulders and a big bust.
      Hourglass is proportional.
      Ruler is stick thin with no curves and a boyish body.
      Apple is thick all over.

      make sure ur bra is fitted well, tops that accentuate ur curves by creating an hourglass top and wide leg trousers to balance u out, keep the button stance a bit higher so that its on ur bust rather than under them for the jacket since ur breasts r large...as the photographer it would be good to go with a suit since u are working, but make it elegant enough for the wedding's dress code...as all weddings differ in appropriate attire.

      My clothing style is unique. I know everyone says that, but mine is. One day I'll wear a green jeans miniskirt with a t-shirt, the next a tight pair of jeans and a form fitting sweater, the next day an orange kneelength graffiti-style skirt with a brown hoodie, the next day it's a 20's retro dress with high heels and the day after that, it's a strapless black number.

      I'm pretty curvy and very happy about that.
      My style is constantly changing along with my mood.
      I spend very little on clothes, preferring to get good brand names from thrift stores in major cities like Chicago, as well as browsing Ebay.
