      what you eat is 80% of it.

      How hard are you willing to work to get what you want? Because what you ask for is highly possible IF want it bad enough.

      Exercise alone won't get you there. Diet alone MAY get you there BUT people who ONLY diet always gain the weight back. The key to fat loss AND keeping it off is 3 fold:

      Proper Dieting
      Proper use of cardio
      lifting weights.

      Also, I don't believe that article.

      as far as the diet: Think HIGH protein MODERATE fat LOW carb.
      The protein and fats will help maintain your existing muscle mass only. Which is very important while dieting in that it ensures you only lose FAT while your weight is going downwards.
      The low carbs are pretty much the way to go when trying to lose fat. We don't need carbs as much as people think unless you are an athlete. Also, when you reach your goal, you slowly reintroduce good carbs back into your life. Its only temporary that we keep them out. Some people live years without carbs and all their health numbers are better than before! Personally, I've lived 2 years without carbs. Today I have SOME back in because my goals are different now, I'm no longer attempting to lose fat only. I now want to add some muscle.

      Sorry so long lol but I'd recommend this for you (based on your goal weight):

      Protein: 190 grams
      Fat: 75 grams
      Carbs: 50 grams

      Divide the protein/fats into 5 or 6 meals evenly. Not the carbs since that 50 grams will be incidental in your protein/fat sources.

      Protein sources could be: eggs, tuna, chicken, turkey, steak, talapia fish, salmon, whey protein powder

      Fat sources could be: almonds, cashews, extra virgin olive oil, all natural peanut butter

      Carb sources will be, well...nothing lol except green veggies. You can eat as many of those as you want and do not have to add them or consider them.

      cardio:

      do LOW intensity cardio. like walkin on an incline or stationary bike.

      keep your heart rate at 130 bpm. start with 30 mins 3 x per week. Each week add 1 day to the rotation. stay at 30 mins 7x per week until your fat loss stalls. Then add 10 mins to each session. if you continue to lose fat like that, stay there. no need to add anything. if fat loss stalls add 10 mins to each session. stay there. etc etc this is the proper way to use cardio for fat loss. Cardio progressions.

      weights:

      Lift weights 3x per week. Do full body workouts. squats, deadlifts, lunges, bench presses. all you are trying to do is maintain your existing muscle. since protein & fats are the building blocks of muscle and you will be eating alot of that plus this weight lifting, maintaining your muscle will be no problem!

      once per week (like a saturday morning) weigh yourself. take pictures in shorts or bikini. these pictures from week to week will prove to you that the program is working or not. pictures don't lie. take measurements too. log it all down. this should be done before you eat anything.

      also, that same day, as your last meal of the day, eat whatever your little heart desires! this is very important. the reason behind it is twofold:

      your sanity.
      also to spark your metabolism.

      Our bodies will slow its metabolism whenever we diet and sparking it every week is very very important. you will gain weight from this meal BUT its only water weight and it will be lost in 3 days and in then in 7 days you will still have a weekly loss!

    Well this happened because of a certain shift in my diet when i started having my periods. Whenever i used to be feared i used to eat a lot [Or used to eat just for taste sake]
    SO because of that now my body shape is like this.

      Personally, I am very against liposuction. It has its dangers and is not long-term, meaning you could gain it all back again if you resume your previous habits after surgery.

      Since you said this was due to a shift in your diet, I would suggest simply going back to eating what you used to eat, or changing your current diet to something more vegetable/protein-based so you feel full but don't eat as much. I have never heard of period causing any drastic diet changes before, except for maybe a little more sugar intake, so I don't really know what you mean by the "shift".

      As for eating when you're afraid or just feeling like it, I've been through a phase like that as well ^^. Just make sure when you eat, eat something healthy such as fruits and vegetables. I suggest eating something that put up a lot of resistance, such a celery (I love celery now <3). You can also try popping a piece of gum instead of food.

      Try stress relief activities, especially running, since that will cut fat around the lower body area as a bonus. Another thing to keep in mind is your posture. Sitting or slumping too much can also focus your fat gain to the lower portion of your body, like your buttocks and thighs.

      The answer will depend on ur shoulders,, if they are equal to ur hips, then u seem like a bottom heavy hourglass, since ur hips measurements is bigger than ur bust.. think of Rihanna, Halle Berry, and Beyonce to some extent.
      But if ur shoulders are narrower/sloppy, then u may be a triangle. There are also different types of triangles,, depending on ur waist. So if u have sort of a straight waist that protrudes from a certain point to ur hips, then ur like Katherine Heigle or Jenniffer Love Hewitt. But if ur waist is indented, then u are the shape of Mischa Barton and Christina Aguilera.

      I have studied anthropometric, and i do body ratios to determine body shapes, so i dont depend solely on the 4 categories of body shape (pear, hourglass, etc)..

      If u do really have 22-33 waist-hip, then u should have a hip that looks almost like dita von tesse:

      If urs dont look like that, then if u didnt take the wrong measurement.. ur hips may not be wide but it's ur butt that maybe protruding.

      Bust-waist 32-22 is good, but ur bust lacks definition.. if i am not mistaken u are 30B..
      Which makes u somehow a bottom heavy hourglass..

      Firstly, spoon and pear are the same. Apple shape is when the waist/hip ratio is 0.8 or more. Yours is 0.77 and your hips are two inches more than your bust, so you are more pear/spoon shaped, although you are slightly ruler shaped as your waist/hip ratio isn't less than 0.75. If you gained weight, you could become more apple shaped, but that is the case with any body type.

    I'm 5'6'', weight 135 with very wide shoulders. My bust measures 32B, my waist at the smallest part is 26 (25 on a good day), my hips are 34, and when I measure around my thighs right under my butt where it curves out the most- its 37.

    I've always had a very high metabolism and always look as if I weigh less than I do. When I gain weight I seem to gain it in my lower abdomen, butt, and thighs first, but its impossible for me to get fat. My family consists of true pear shapes, and they balloon out,and look fat on the bottom, skinny on top, so I'm kinda confused about my body shape, especially with such wide shoulders.

      If you're fuller on bottom, a close cut mermaid style might just make your butt look big. >.< I'd suggest an a-line skirt that starts to flow away from your body at your hips (whether higher or lower depends on what you think looks best), camouflaging the wider part of you and calling attention to your small waist.

      Currently, u r a colomn..slim, hard to gain weight, but when it does u store it in the abdomen first, then buttocks.. slight definition in the waist with balanced hips and bust..

      i think you are an hourglass shape. Exercise targeting your thighs may help reduce your saddlebag look, but personally I suggest yoga and stretching. This will improve your whole body and produce long, lean muscle. I don't suggest trying to get broad shoulders. I'm sure you look great no matter what :D

      The hourglass shape i think is the sexiest shape a woman can have. If a girl is too skinny and has no meat to her chances are most guys aren't going to be attracted to her. Don't worry about gaining a little weight especially if its in the butt, thighs... guys like curves. Spoon is definitely not desirable for me and I can tell you that most of my buddies and I would prefer a pear.

    I am 33 y/O female. 142 pounds and 5'5". I have a big lower body with a pretty much toned upper body. I want to reduce my hips and butt and make my lower body more proportionate. I have a treadmill and I've heard that if you have a spoon shaped body you can never use the incline or you'll bulk up your lower body. Its that true?? Any one has experienced that??

      It's very difficult to bulk up by running. Granted, if you put the incline up high enough(>7%), you will do more work with your glutes and hamstrings than with low or no elevation. But the overall effect is to make these areas stronger, not so much bigger. Have you ever seen a top runner with a big lower physique? I assure you that all these runners do plenty of incline training.
      I wouldn't recommend running on hills or incline exclusively, but a little variation might be helpful in keeping your motivation up and if you run regularly, you will see a positive change in the shape of your body.

      I think you're an hourglass figure. Your upper body and lower body sound proportional except for your boob size. Your waist is also 70% of your hips, which means it's probably well-defined.

      Halter tops are easier to find in the right size, since they don't need to fit in the shoulder; just the chest and waist. Maybe try a one-piece with a deep plunge neck. Since they have almost no support, only women with small boobs can wear them anyway, and most also have a higher cut leg that will make your hips look slimmer.

      Another look I like is a regular swimsuit top and board shorts. In this case the straps for the top should be fairly wideset to balance out the bottom.

      Don't get a strapless top or string bikini, since it's sounds like you actually want to do some swimming, and it's too easy for mishaps to occur with those.

      You sound like you are ruler/apple shape to me, where the top and bottom are the same size, and the waist is less than 8 inches smaller. If your waist was 8-12 inches smaller, you would be hourglass.
