   I have really bad self confidence. We ordered a homecoming dress online because we ran out of time and im really self conscious about my stomach. I need a strapless shapewear that doesnt cause my stomach to flow out the top by my ribs or at the bottom either. i need overall shaping from stomach to past the hip. Any help is appreciated!

5. QUESTION:
   Any strapless bras that stays up?
   I just bought a shapewear from Barenecessities.com(Dr. Rey's shapewear) but the top part of it seems to slide down. I bought that instead of a bra because I am a size 32C and no strapless bras really seem to stay up. Can anyone recommend a strapless bra or shapewear that stays up? I don't want to use the clear/transparent straps. I'm never able to wear tube tops/dresses because of this problem:( Please help!

6. QUESTION:
   Looking for shapewear (spanx type of thing) that is one piece - any ideas?
   I can find a ton of bodysuits that has shorts, but the top has straps without the bra part, and a ton that are strapless with a skirt. I would like the biker short type of thing that is strapless and can't find one anywhere. I have the kind with the skirt, but the top falls down & the skirt rolls up, so I don't really like it. help!

     Try Neiman's. My mom orders their stuff all the time near the holidays because if she isn't careful she'll jump from a size 4 to a size 6, and she'll use shapewear for a week or two until she's a size 4 again. She loves all of it.

   Shapewear under wedding dress?
   I bought a satin, strapless A-line wedding dress that's fitted around the bodice/midsection. What's the best shapewear to wear underneath? My main problem is my "tummy" area. Is it best to get a one-piece shapewear slip or to get a bra and high-waisted underwear?

   Also, what's a good option for stockings/nylons? I don't want to fuss with a garter belt but one-piece hoisery sounds like it would turn into a hassle. I've also considered thigh-high stockings.

   I agree that a lot of women prefer not to wear stockings/nylons. I'm 24 and have been wearing nylons all of my life so far, except on hot days or when I just don't feel like it. It does seem a LOT easier (and a lot less annoying) to just skip them. I'm wearing a long dress anyway.

     I thought about the same thing for my dress. But, I wore a slip with the tulle and netting underneath the dress so that had a slimming effect and also the longline bra that I wore also kinda kept things smoother.
     Be very careful about getting something that's 1 pc cause you'll be in that dress all day and bathroom breaks will happen. It's hard enough getting that dress up with all the layers and then dealing with undies. I had to use the washroom 3 times that day and each time it'd be me and 2 people to get that thing up. Modesty went out the window!
     I also opted not to wear any stockings. I mean who's going to see anyway. You'll have enough on anyway. It's just another layer to worry about.

   What Underwear with Strapless Dress?
   Im going to a wedding next month, and Im wearing a strapless dress from Coast, what I cant decide is what shapewear to wear with it, Im not massivley overweight, Im a size 14 (but the coast dress is a 16?) and I have a large bust, 36 DD but I dont know wheather to stick to trusty spanx or go for a corset or something completely different Any suggestions much appreciated!

10. QUESTION:
    Strapless bra DD cup for wedding?
    8 weeks to my wedding and i have my dress fitting on the 24th June. I recently asked a question on here about shapewear and thankfully I have got a large pair of knickers that smooth out the lumps and bumps. Its a pair from bhs!

    Although I have found this part of my undergarment I am really struggling with my strapless bra. I was measured recently in Debenhams and it turns out Im a 34DD suprising considering i always thought I was a C!!!!

    I have tried numerous strapless bras. The first one being the Ultimate Strapless Wonderbra thought this one would have been perfect but it didnt give me any sort of cleavage at all it actually squished em and i had to go for 36DD cos the back was way to tight. All the reviews for this bra say its the best?? Maybe i had it on wrong??

    Does anyone have any good suggestions about strapless bras for 34DD in the UK! I dont wanna spend mega money £30.00 is probably my limit! Please help I am on a time limit!!

    Also are your measurements for a strapless bra differ from your measurements for a normal strapped bra??

      no,measurements are the same but its the shape and fit that is more important - many women get measured (doesn't work,let me assure you,i come out a dd) then just buy a bra in the same size without realising that measurements vary between brands.bravissimo will always advise that a product is smaller so try aback size bigger or vice versa.please try to get to a shop for a proper fitting - ive never had anything but a great experience in my nearest shop (and i used to regularly come away from underwear shopping in tears with no underwear)

    i am a plus size girl and i want a resonably priced (less than ) strapless, long line corset type of shapewear. im interested in something to go beneath a gown and i want it to push up my breasts and also control my figure past my hips. i also want it to be sturdy and able to shape my body firmly. everything ive found either only shapes beneath your breasts or above your hips or looks flimsy. im really after something similar to historically acurate long line corsets.

      Some of the spanx body suits run between 40-80
      they aren't as pretty as a traditional corset but since its under the dress who cares?

13. QUESTION:
    What to wear under wedding dress?
    I am in pretty good shape, but I still would like to wear something special under my dress instead of just a strapless bra and panties. I've never worn shapewear, cinchers, corsets or anything like that, so I have no clue! I just want to look my best of course, smooth anything out that might pop out, etc. I bought a waist cincher and a corset, but I'm afraid the boning may show through because it looks so bulky and can be seen clearly under dresses I have here.

    My dress is a strapless mermaid, so it's very fitting up until my mid-thigh. (San Patrick Eresma if that helps)

      its not thick or heavy, just basically elastic material that holds everything in comfortably.
      just remove the straps and it'll still hold everything up.

14. QUESTION:
    Which style of wedding dress?
    I'm trying to decide between two styles of wedding dresses. One is more practical while the other is more fashionable.

    Dress #1 is a strapless, A-line satin ballgown with a fitted bodice. Dress #2 is a satin sheath dress (slightly flared toward the hem) with a halter top and a low back.

    Part of me likes Dress #1 because it wouldn't require "creative" shaping undergarments and I could just wear a strapless bra. I wouldn't figet with the dress all day, which is nice. My only problem with Dress #1 is that it reminds me too much of a prom dress.

    Dress #2 is appealing because it reminds me of "old Hollywood" glamour and would be more form-fitting. I'm hesitant about Dress #2 because it would require double-sided tape or some outrageous bra. Also, I'm sort of self-conscious about my midriff so I would need shapewear underneath.

    For background, I'm 24, just shy of 5'8" and basically an hourglass shape (proportional hips and, um, chest.) I weigh about 150 pounds.

      If you are not comfortable in the dress, you will be miserable. Most of your day will be standing, posing for pictures, and leaning over to hug people. If you're sucking in your tummy when you stand, moving awkwardly to keep the tape from moving around, and always worrying about standing in the most flattering way for your pictures, you will not have a good time. Go for the dress you can move the most comfortably in, with a minimum of supportive undergarments.

      And there are tons of dresses like dress #1 that does not look like a prom dress. And there are lots of dress #2s that look like nightgowns. Regardless of which shape you choose, you'll find one that you like the look of.

      OK in my opinion, using your choices.. i'd recommend the first dress, only because it has the strap to go around your neck, helping it to stay up. Strapless dresses are difficult when you don't have the body to hold it in place and unfortunately shaping the body doesn't look right in a strapless dress.

      If at all possible i'd get a dress that actually went over the shoulder. I know for me, i'd need it because the way my shoulders are i need to cover them otherwise they look too masculine. Plus having the straps allows a normal bra. again if you go with a strapless bra without the real body to hold it in place you will find that while the initial effect is fantastic, after a bit of wear you will find everything falling down.

      As for the camisoles. The second i think is too dark except for the third dress. i'd go with the first one.

      And the petticoats: If you do coose to wear a strapless, i'd go for the hoop one. it's lighter and might help to hold up the dress.
      but if you get one with straps then i recommend the full crinoline one. I think you will enjoy the feel and sound and weight of it better.

      And finally, you will feel much more feminine if you wear a garter and stockings (but have a pair of hose with you just in case you need to change due to runs.) And since the panties will be all covered, just wear what is comfortable and pretty to you.

      I like dress 3. The pink and black. You will need a strapless bra and a tube bra to go over it to hold everything in place. A shaper and I say go with full pantyhose to hold every in with the shaper.
